Ep 63 - Bryan Roark - Chief Champion Builder _ Business Strategist at FLAME Enterprise
Bryan C. Roark has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Roark is currently starting a new chapter in his professional life by parlaying his decades of professional experience into a consulting role as the chief executive officer of FLAME (Faith-based Leadership And Mentoring toward Excellence) Enterprises. In this position, he fills vacant C-level positions for clients, particularly the roles of chief technology officer, chief information officer and chief operating officer, as well as vice president of sales. In this diverse and challenging position, he will provide clients with a wide range of services by filling temporary leadership gaps for organizations, helping them continue with their day-to-day operations so they don't fall behind or miss critical deadlines. Mr. Roark also works with leaders who are struggling to adapt to their positions, and provides them with mentorship and guidance to help them break through their limits and discover new facets of themselves in the process. As Mr. Roark describes it, it is the process of transforming from a manager to a true leader. Another aspect of the work is performing "gap analysis," to develop continuous improvement plans based on the data that he discovers. In addition to his consulting business, Mr. Roark also partners with and supports his wife's company, West Coast Medical, LLC, serving as its chief operating officer.
A storied professional, Mr. Roark has a great deal of experience as a C-level consultant to enterprise organizations in the IT industry. He brings his clients the full benefit of his successful 20-year career in senior executive positions working for value-added reseller IT brokers, such as Mainline Information Systems, Presidio, Vology and TW Telecom. As a value-added reseller/broker for these organizations, he delivered hardware and service/implementation solutions to all points of an organization, from the data center to the end user, in data management, data innovation and data security. He also built a strong network of working relationships with clients, distributors and manufacturers, which has given him a well-earned sterling reputation within the industry.
Having worked in operational improvement throughout his entire career, Mr. Roark has developed a personal philosophy regarding open communication and leadership, modeled after Former President Theodore Roosevelt. He prides himself on telling it like it is, and he prefers letting his actions speak louder than his words. More than anything else, he is committed to always giving his clients and colleagues the best advice possible, even when that advice may conflict with what they want to hear. Also, in his own words, "Never be afraid to hire someone smarter than you. They can only make you look better."
Mr. Roark served as a combat medic/paramedic EMT in the Army National Guard from 1992 until 1998, supporting tanker and scout units during his years of service. He also owned a personal training business, through which he helped train celebrities and high-profile VIPs in Louisiana. In this role, he created bespoke workout routines and established custom nutrition and kinesiology plans for each client.
Mr. Roark received two Bachelor of Science degrees in business and health care management from American InterContinental University in 2004 and 2005, respectively. In a career filled with highlights, he is most proud of building relationships and leading people to success. He attributes his accomplishments to his strong faith, as well as his willingness to stay humble, his ability to take in knowledge from everyone around him, and the support of his family. A self-described daredevil, he enjoys skydiving, riding motorcycles and training for his pilot's license, which he will have earned by February of 2023.

Nick Lowery believes we can bring the world closer by embracing the beautiful complexity of the human experience. Hall of Fame athlete, Ivy League scholar, 3-time Presidential aide, Author, Poet, Teacher, Philanthropist, even Wall Street CNBC Stock draft champion (almost twice), Nick transcends athlete stereotypes. Nick has been featured on ABC’s 20/20, World News Tonight, Nightline with Ted Koppel, HBO’s Inside the NFL, David Letterman twice, MSNBC, CNBC, Sports Illustrated, the Washington Post and the New York Times. With a Harvard Masters, Nick worked during his career in the off-seasons for President Reagan in Drug Abuse Policy, and for both President George HW Bush and President Bill Clinton in the White House Office of National Service, helping launch both the Points of Light Foundation and Americorps, the domestic Peace Corps dedicated to inspiring young people in service to their country. Nick was inducted into the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame in 2009 as the most accurate kicker in NFL History.
